Lao Cai supports an additional 1.5 million VND/month for officials working away from home

Lao Cai - Officials working away from home can be supported with up to 1.5 million VND/person/month.

The People's Council of Lao Cai province, term XVI, has passed Resolution No. 03/2025/NQ-HDND on policies to support cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers mobilized to work at the provincial administrative center and communes and wards after the arrangement of administrative units.

According to the Resolution, those who are transferred will be supported with travel costs according to the distance from their permanent residence to their workplace:

From 25 - under 50 km: 600,000 VND/person/month.

From 50 - under 100 km: 900,000 VND/person/month.

From 100 km or more: 1,200,000 VND/person/month.

In case of having to travel for work more than 25 km away and not being arranged a public house, they will also be supported with accommodation:

1,500,000 VND/person/month when working at the provincial administrative center.

800,000 VND/person/month when working in communes and wards.

This support policy is effective from August 1, 2025 to the end of January 2027.

The implementation cost is guaranteed from the state budget and other legal sources. The payment is made monthly at the same time as the salary payment, and the support is not included in the payment, enjoyment of insurance or as a basis for other regimes and allowances.
