Practical policies for families of meritorious people
On the morning of July 26, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1945 - July 27, 2025), the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to hand over the decision to arrange social housing for 92 households with meritorious services to the revolution at Vu Mong Nguyen social apartment building (Ngu Hanh Son ward).
This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the morality of "Remembering water when drinking", and at the same time is a concrete demonstration of the city's consistent and humane social security policy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed: "We understand that a stable roof is the foundation for families to feel secure in living, continuing to contribute to society. This is not only a responsibility, but also a deep gratitude to those who have contributed to the country.

Vu Mong Nguyen Apartment Building is the first project in the Project on arranging social housing for meritorious people in the period of 2021-2025. With a scale of 209 apartments, 12-storey apartments, basement, attic and full amenities such as kindergartens, sports areas, services... the project has a total investment of more than 223 billion VND.
The rental price is calculated in accordance with the conditions of policy households, from only 637,000 to more than 2 million VND/month after applying the exemption and reduction policy according to regulations. The lease term is 5 years, subject to extension.
The dream of settling down becomes a reality
Da Nang is currently continuing to review the needs and implement the next stages of the project, aiming to prevent people with meritorious services from falling into a lack of housing or difficult living conditions.
For many households, the apartments given today are the beginning of a stable and prosperous life after many difficult years.

Mr. Le Minh Thanh (born in 2015, An Hai ward), who participated in the resistance war against the US, was moved when he decided to rent a social housing unit after more than 10 years of living in temporary housing, taking care of his sick wife and raising three young grandchildren. "We have been looking forward to the day we can move to a new place to feel secure in our old age," he said.
This is not just a housing project. That is the city's specific commitment in the journey to preserve and honor revolutionary values, to be a place to show gratitude through action, not just words.
To date, Da Nang city has completed the construction and repair of 2,938 houses for policy families; of which 910 houses were newly built, completed before the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1945 - July 27, 2025).
