Recently, Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision on recognizing the winning bidding results for land use rights auctions to select investors to implement the Muong Thanh airport walking street project in Dien Bien Phu ward.
Accordingly, Duc Hai Dien Bien Company Limited was the winning bidder with a price of more than 153 billion VND. The land is in Dien Bien Phu ward (old Thanh Truong ward). The location and boundaries of the land are determined according to the measurement, extraction, and cadastral adjustment documents No. 01-2025 of the Muong Thanh airport walking street project at a ratio of 1:1,000.
The total area used to implement the project is nearly 76,000m2. Of which, public land is nearly 450m2; social housing land accounts for more than 5,000m2; green land and park land accounts for nearly 18,000m2; parking land is nearly 2,700m2; traffic land is nearly 30,000m2 and adjacent residential land is more than 20,000m2. The population is about 3,000 people with a total investment of nearly 675 billion VND.
The project is located in a prime location, next to Dien Bien airport and near famous historical sites such as: Do Cat tunnel, Muong Thanh bridge, Dien Bien Phu Victory monument...
According to the representative of Duc Hai Dien Bien Company Limited, the unit is making efforts to coordinate with departments and branches to complete the necessary procedures according to regulations to be able to start the project construction in September 2025.
The goal of the project is to strengthen the socio-economic infrastructure, create conditions for effective exploitation of all resources, serve the growth and shift of the economic structure of the area and the entire old city of Dien Bien Phu.
In particular, the project also aims to create resources to invest in and upgrade Dien Bien Airport in the future. This is also an urban area, a residential area combined with trade and services to create land funds to serve the needs of residential land for people.
Previously, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province assigned the Land Fund Development Center under the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize an auction of land use rights to select investors to implement the project of New Urban Area and Muong Thanh Airport walking street according to the provisions of current law.
The total starting price for the land is more than 150 billion VND. The deposit to participate in the auction is about 30 billion VND. The auction is conducted by indirect voting, according to the method of bidding up, with a minimum price step of 1 billion VND.
