On May 11, information from the Electronic Information Portal The People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that the 3/2 Urban Area Project of Vung Tau City will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on the afternoon of May 16 with the participation of local leaders.
According to the 1/500 scale plan announced in August 2024, the scale of the above project is up to 96.6 hectares, with the nature of a modern comprehensive tourism service area combined with an urban area with mixed-use functions, synchronous in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure with housing, commercial works, and services.
On that basis, at the end of 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the investment policy for the 3/2 Urban Area project, in Wards 10 and 11 of Vung Tau City, with the total estimated investment cost of the project being nearly 35,000 billion VND.
Recently, on April 26, Ba Ria - Vung Tau organized an auction of a land plot of more than 59.7 hectares belonging to this project, with a starting price of more than VND 7,628 billion.
By April 29, the Provincial People's Committee had decided to recognize Vung Tau Urban Investment and Development Company Limited (headquartered in Ward 10, Vung Tau City) as the winning bidder, with an amount of more than VND 7,728 billion.
