On October 16, Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Department of Construction Nguyen Van Trang said that he had announced a list of projects identified to invest in the construction of social housing in the province, with 7 key projects, with a total area of nearly 98 hectares, providing about 24,400 apartments in the coming time.
Accordingly, the projects aim to meet the housing needs of workers, workers, cadres, civil servants, public employees and policy beneficiaries, while concretizing Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly and Decree No. 192/2025/ND-CP of the Government on specific policies for social housing development.
7 projects include: Concentrated social housing area in Long An ward, area of 30 hectares, total investment of VND 9,877 billion, synchronous construction of technical infrastructure, social infrastructure and architectural works, serving the housing needs of cadres, civil servants and workers who have to change their workplaces due to administrative unit arrangement.
Social housing project in Thanh Loi commune, area of 10 hectares, total investment of 3,292 billion VND.
Social housing project in Luong Hoa commune, area of 10 hectares, total investment of 3,292 billion VND.
The social housing area is concentrated in Duc Lap commune, with an area of 28 hectares and a total investment of VND9,219 billion.
The Social Housing Project in My Hanh Commune, with an area of 8.1 hectares and a total investment of VND2,667 billion.
Social housing project in Can Giuoc commune, area of 7.45 ha, total investment of VND 2,452 billion.
Social housing project in Can Giuoc commune, area 3.8 ha, total investment of 1,384 billion VND.
The project implementation period is from 3 to 5 years from the date the province approves the investment policy and assigns the investor to implement.
These projects will be supported with 100% of compensation and site clearance costs, and bidding to select investors according to Resolution No. 15/2024/NQ-HDND dated October 15, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council.
The Department of Construction was assigned to receive documents, appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for decision to approve the investment policy, and closely coordinate with relevant departments and branches to ensure implementation progress.
The announcement of the list of 7 projects this time shows the determination of Tay Ninh province in strongly developing the social housing fund, creating conditions for low-income people, workers and laborers to settle down, contributing to promoting social security and sustainable urban development.
Previously, according to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister, the target for social housing completed in the 2025-2030 period of Tay Ninh province was 80,240 (old Long An province 70,740 units, old Tay Ninh province 9,500 units).
According to the Department of Construction of Tay Ninh province, currently, the province has implemented the completion of 13 social housing projects for workers and low-income people with a construction scale of 4,358 apartments. Of which, the old Long An province completed 7 projects with 1,958 apartments; the old Tay Ninh province completed 6 projects with 2,400 apartments.
