Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee has just issued an order to build an emergency project for a residential stabilization area in flooded areas due to the impact of storm No. 11 in Kim Van village, Van Lang commune.
Accordingly, the Management Board of Northern Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Projects is assigned to be the investor; implementation time in 2026.
The project allocates residential land for 42 households, including 25 households completely flooded, 13 semi-submerged households and 4 households at risk of landslides. At the same time, allocate land fund to build community activity facilities.
The area allocated for residential land for each household is 300m2. The technical infrastructure system is invested synchronously, including roads, electricity, and water.
The total area of the resettlement area is about 4ha, with an estimated cost of 30.3 billion VND from the state budget.
Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant units to complete legal procedures, organize surveys, assess terrain and geology of the area, and ensure project safety.
The project implementation aims to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and help people in affected areas soon stabilize their lives.
Previously, in October 2025, due to the impact of storm No. 11's circulation, many highland communes in the North of Thai Nguyen suffered heavy damage.
Especially, in Kim Van village (Van Lang commune), prolonged flooding affects people's lives.
