In Hung My commune, on the afternoon of December 15, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated with the Land Fund Development Center of Ca Mau province, Project Management Board 166/BQP and Army Corps 12 (construction unit) to organize the handover of the site to the construction unit of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway Project. At the same time, relevant units will carry out payment procedures and support compensation for site clearance for affected households.

Mr. Bui Hung Liet - Chairman of Hung My Commune People's Committee - acknowledged the consensus and support of the people, contributing significantly to helping the site clearance work to be completed on schedule and on time.
Mr. Liet said that Hung My is the locality with the largest number of affected households, ranking second among the total 10 communes that the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway passes through. The expressway through the commune is more than 11 km long. Through the review, the whole commune has 317 households and 1 organization affected by the project, distributed in Giai Phong, Thi Tuong, Cai Bat, Thi Tuong A and Ly An hamlets; the total area of recovered land is about 100 hectares, mainly aquaculture land, perennial land and residential land.
Up to this point, the locality has coordinated to pay compensation to 238/321 households, with a total amount of more than 206 billion VND, reaching more than 72.7%. Notably, among these, there is Mr. Nguyen Van Lam's household in Giai Phong hamlet, who, after receiving the compensation, voluntarily donated 20 million VND to the Commune People's Committee to carry out social security work.

On the same day, the Land Fund Development Center of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of Nguyen Viet Khai commune to organize a handover ceremony for the land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement project to deploy the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway in the commune.
The project passes through Nguyen Viet Khai commune and is about 10 km long. affecting a total area of 82.18 hectares of land of 161 households and individuals. Of which, the main route accounts for 77.53 hectares, affecting 150 households; the supporting area has an area of 4.65 hectares, affecting 11 households. Up to now, 100% of households and individuals have agreed and handed over the site to the project. The total cost of compensation, support and resettlement has been paid for is nearly 163.9 billion VND.

Previously, on December 14, Khanh Binh commune completed compensation and site clearance and officially handed over the site to the construction unit of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway Project.
This is the locality with the largest number of households affected among the 10 communes on the expressway passing through. The Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway passing through Khanh Binh commune is more than 9 km long, passing through 8 hamlets, affecting a total of 340 organizations, households and individuals, including 339 households and 1 organization. The project affects 115 houses, 21 cemeteries and 93 graves; there are 44 households building houses on other people's land and 2 shrimp farming households on land not under their right to use. The total area of household and individual land affected is 68.89 ha; traffic land and land with water surface in the form of rivers, canals and ditches is 3.11 ha.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tien - Secretary of the Khanh Binh Commune Party Committee - said that although the workload is large, the number of affected households is large and the implementation time for land acquisition, compensation, support and site handover is relatively short, but with the strong direction of the Party Committee, the flexible operation of the Commune People's Committee and the active advisory role of specialized agencies, councils and working groups, the site clearance work has been basically completed according to plan.
Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dat Moi commune - said that on December 14, the commune also handed over the site to the construction unit with an area of 141.1 hectares, reaching 100%. The Secretary of the Commune Party Committee affirmed that the local government will continue to accompany and support the construction units in resolving arising difficulties and problems.
The entire Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway is about 81 km long, passing through 10 communes, with 2 stops and 8 intersections. Along both sides of the expressway, there are residential access roads and water access roads for production and travel of people. The project has a total land acquisition area of about 713.09 hectares. The project passes through 10 communes of Ca Mau province, with a total compensation, support and resettlement for the project of over 2,000 billion VND. The project affects about 3 organizations, 1,819 households and individuals.
