According to Lao Dong Newspaper on October 12, on many streets considered prime land for business such as Hue Street, Kim Ma Street, Ba Trieu Street..., a series of premises are being left vacant, waiting for tenants.
Located in the center of Hanoi, Hue Street (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) is considered a prime location for business and is sought after by many people. However, currently, the premises here are also in a state of stagnation.
The owner of a house here is looking to rent out 6 floors for 80 million VND/month, paid semi-annually. The usable area of each floor is 50m2, renting a minimum of 3 floors for 55 million VND/month.
Months have passed since the old tenant moved out, but the house has yet to be rented. “Many parties have contacted me recently to express their interest in renting, but I have yet to close any deals because I have not been able to negotiate a suitable price,” said the female landlord.
Not far away, another house is being rented by its owner with 5 floors for 100 million VND/month, negotiable. The total usable area is about 55m2, with a basement. The owner wants to find someone who commits to renting for at least 6 months to 1 year.
Ba Trieu Street (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) also has many premises in a state of "closed doors and bolts", even though the "for rent" signs have been hung for many days. A 4-storey house here is being rented for 120 million VND/month, if the customer rents 2 floors, the price will be 100 million VND/month. The usable area of each floor is 100m2, the frontage is 5m.
“In the past, this street was always considered a golden land for fashion business, as soon as the old customers moved, there would be someone asking to rent it. But now the economy is difficult, so my premises are still vacant,” said the house owner.
For the past 2 months, the owner of a house on Trang Thi Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) has been looking for tenants, but has not yet closed any contracts. The owner is renting out the first floor of the house, with a usable area of over 150 square meters and a frontage of 9 meters, for 80 million VND/month.
"When the old tenant moved out, I renovated the premises, but for the past 2 months, there has been no new tenant," said the owner.
