On the morning of February 23, Thai Nguyen province organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Viet Bac SOCIAL HOUSING project in Tich Luong ward. The project is invested by TNG Land Joint Stock Company with a total investment of about 1,230 billion VND.
The project is implemented on an area of nearly 1.9ha, including 2 22-story apartment buildings and 26 adjacent commercial houses, providing 1,029 apartments, meeting the housing needs of about 2,400 residents. Apartments have an area of 30 - 70 m2.
According to the progress, the project is expected to be eligible to sell houses formed in the future from the third quarter of 2026. The implementation of the Viet Bac Social Housing Project aims to supplement the supply of social housing in Thai Nguyen province.
For many workers and low-income workers in Thai Nguyen province, the fact that more than 1,000 social housing apartments are about to be launched on the market will help increase opportunities to access housing at reasonable prices, creating sustainable housing and career opportunities.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa (Cao Bang province), currently working as a worker at Song Cong Industrial Park, said that she and her husband had prepared documents and registered to buy social housing at this project before Tet.
After inquiring, I found that my family is eligible to buy social housing at this project, so I immediately applied for registration. I hope the project will be completed soon so that my family has the opportunity to settle down," Ms. Hoa shared.

The TNG Viet Bac social housing project is implemented according to the "green channel" mechanism of Thai Nguyen province for social housing projects. This mechanism aims to strengthen coordination between departments and sectors, shorten the time to resolve administrative procedures, create conditions for the project to be implemented in practice soon, while still ensuring full compliance with legal regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Linh - Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee said that currently there are 13 social housing projects approved for investment policy with over 17,000 apartments in the area. By 2030, the province's goal is to build from 45,000 to 60,000 social housing apartments.
Developing social housing is not only an economic task but also a political task, a long-term social security task. Thai Nguyen province always identifies creating safe, suitable, and reasonably priced housing for people as one of the key factors to attract investment, stabilize human resources, and promote sustainable development," said Mr. Nguyen Linh.
To ensure that social housing projects in the area are implemented on schedule and effectively, leaders of Thai Nguyen province proposed that relevant agencies strengthen state management, inspection and supervision to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with planning and legal regulations.
