Accordingly, the Project Management Board (PMU) for investment in infrastructure construction and urban development of Da Nang has just responded to citizens' opinions on the progress of implementing public parks in the golden coastal land reclaimed by the Hon Ngoc Ahau Project.
According to the Project Management Board, the public park project (recovering part of Hon Ngoc Aoi Coastal Tourist Area) was approved by the Da Nang City People's Committee for a detailed plan at a scale of 1/500 in 2018.
After many adjustments to the planning, the investment proposal report, capital sources and project capital balance capabilities have been appraised by the Department of Finance of Da Nang City. The total preliminary investment of the project is more than 47 billion VND.
On June 27, the Project Management Board also issued an official dispatch on submitting a report on the investment proposal for the above public park project.
Accordingly, the Project Management Board agreed with the contents of receiving and explaining the recommendations of the Department of Finance of Da Nang City, updated the dossier of the Da Nang Institute of Construction Planning and proposed that the Department of Construction synthesize and directly submit to the People's Committee of Da Nang City for approval of the Report on investment policy proposal.
Currently, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City is synthesizing and submitting to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval of the project investment proposal report.
Regarding investment progress, according to the Project Management Board, the project investment policy will be approved in July 2025; the project documents will be approved in October 2025; the implementation design after the basic design will be approved in January 2026; the results of the selection of contractors for construction will be approved in March 2026.
According to Lao Dong, Hon Ngoc A Chau Coastal Tourist Area has an area of about 12 hectares, a project that has been "frozen" for many years in Da Nang City.
After that, the leaders of Da Nang City had a policy to reclaim a part of the golden coastal land area (about 2.45ha) of the project to build a public park to serve the people.
