Hanoi is promoting the implementation of a series of social housing projects to meet the urgent housing needs of the police force in the area. At the 22nd session, the Hanoi People's Council passed a resolution to add more than 10 projects to the 2025 land acquisition list, concentrated in Tay Ho, Bac Tu Liem, Thanh Xuan, Ha Dong districts, along with Dong Anh, Thanh Tri, Hoai Duc, Gia Lam and Chuong My districts.
These projects will be implemented in many favorable locations, near the main traffic axis and large urban areas such as Starlake Tay Ho Tay Tay, Vibex, Nam Thang Long or along Le Trong Tan Street.
Dong Anh district alone will have four projects with a total area of over 100 hectares, including large-scale housing areas in Dai Mach and Mai Lam communes.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, there are currently about 45,000 police officers and soldiers in need of social housing, of which Hanoi alone accounts for nearly 18,500 people. To solve this problem, the Ministry has coordinated with major investors to deploy 5,000 apartments to serve the People's Public Security force in the immediate future.
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, the city aims to complete at least 1.25 million m2 of social housing floors in the period of 2021-2025. However, by early 2025, many projects are still in the process of selecting investors or completing procedures.
The addition of a list of land acquisition is expected to speed up site clearance, helping to soon start a series of projects in 2025 and complete in the following years.
In the context of increasing demand for social housing, especially for the armed forces and low-income people, the synchronous implementation of these projects not only contributes to ensuring social security but also creates momentum for the real estate market to develop in a balanced and sustainable manner.
According to the project to develop 1 million social housing units by 2030, Hanoi is assigned the target of building this type of housing in the highest group in the country with 56,200 units. In the past 4 years, the city has completed nearly 21% of the set target.
Since the beginning of the year, the supply of social housing in the capital has shown signs of positive improvement. The city has continuously started three projects, which can provide more than 2,000 units concentrated in Dong Anh, Thanh Tri districts...
