The project of construction investment expansion of the Phi Liet People's Cemetery in Lai Xuan commune (now Lien Xuan commune) involves 33 households with works on agricultural land and residential land. Thuy Nguyen City has repeatedly organized dialogue and applies the regulations and policies for compensation and support for households. However, up to now, 14 households have not received compensation and support and 11 households receiving compensation and support but has not handed over the ground.
At the dialogue conference, the households expressed their consensus with the project policy but continued to ask the relevant functional agencies to consider the origin of land use, soon arrange resettlement, increase compensation prices, support. At the same time, supplementing the compensation plan, supporting works, architectural objects and artifacts to ensure the rights of households.
At the dialogue, Mr. Nguyen Van Nong, Vice Chairman of Thuy Nguyen City People's Committee emphasized that the Investment Project to build and expand the Phi Liet People's Cemetery is a key project of Hai Phong. According to the plan, the project must be completed in 2024, so far behind the progress due to the completion of site clearance. Considering the key nature of the project and difficult conditions of related households, the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee agrees to allow Thuy Nguyen to apply other support when the State recovers land for the site clearance. Regarding the recommendations of the households, the leaders of Thuy Nguyen City requested, on October 10, the People's Committee of Lien Xuan commune coordinated with the ground clearance working group to serve the project to work with each household Architectural objects, verifying the origin of land use to ensure the highest benefits according to the regulations of the households. Departments, Committees, Unions of the city and Lien Xuan commune actively propagate and mobilize households to agree to draw resettlement, pay land use levies, move architectural objects, soon hand over the ground for service project.
