I would like to ask about the procedures for buying social housing as follows: I have started my own family and live in Hanoi, but have not yet separated my permanent residence with my parents. So, can my husband and I and my parents jointly apply, each with a set of applications to buy social housing in the same project?
Regarding this content, the Ministry of Construction has the following opinions:
- Point e, Clause 1, Article 79 of the 2023 Housing Law stipulates the principles for implementing social housing support policies as follows:
e) In case households have many beneficiaries who enjoy many support policies, only one support policy is applied to the entire household.
- Article 34 of Decree No. 54/2026/ND-CP dated February 9, 2026 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decrees in the field of housing and real estate business (amended Article 38 of Decree No. 100/2024/ND-CP dated July 26, 2024 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Housing Law on development and management of social housing) stipulates as follows:
Each household and individual who needs to buy social housing is not allowed to simultaneously register to buy social housing in multiple projects at the same time.
The above is the opinion of the Ministry of Construction, requesting citizens to study and implement according to regulations.
