Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just received and worked with Mr. Lee Han Joon, General Director of Korea Real Estate Corporation (LH) to visit and promote cooperation in the development of the Southeast urban area of Bac Ninh city.
At the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that, on the basis of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea in general and the initial results after 2 years of signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, he believes that Bac Ninh and the LH provinces will achieve new developments.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan said that in addition to industrial development, Bac Ninh is focusing on attracting and developing urban, commercial, service, educational training center, research and application transfer.
To date, the province has attracted 7.5 billion USD to invest in this field and is expected to select more investors with a total capital of about 8 billion USD in the coming time.
Especially for projects that prioritize attracting investment, the province will apply a "green channel" mechanism to create ventilation in handling administrative procedures.
Currently, the province is making efforts to carry out the final steps in merging the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang to become a new province with an area of nearly 5 times as large and a population of nearly 2.3 times. This will be a space and conditions to promote the strong development of the new Bac Ninh province in the future.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with his capacity and experience, LH will soon implement the Southeast urban area project of Bac Ninh city, contributing to creating a new urban appearance of the province.
LH General Director Lee Han Joon said that LH is a corporation under the Korean Government and is one of the leading enterprises in the field of urban and industrial park construction, providing 120,000 apartments per year.
Emphasizing that the Southeast urban area of Bac Ninh city is the first urban area project LH has implemented in Vietnam, Mr. Lee Han Joon pledged to focus on the most experienced experts to build the Southeast urban area of Bac Ninh city not only as a symbol of Vietnam but also in the world.
Currently, LH has prepared a project feasibility study report and is completing the investment policy approval dossier to send to the authorities as soon as possible.
Bac Ninh is one of the industrial capitals in the North, concentrating a series of FDI giants in the fields of technology equipment manufacturing, electronics, and semiconductors.
In recent years, Bac Ninh has also become the destination of a series of large investors in the real estate sector.
Currently, 7 new urban area projects with a total investment of nearly 105,000 billion VND are being accelerated in this locality.
Transport infrastructure in Bac Ninh is changing strongly. Gia Binh airport in Xuan Lai commune and Gia Binh town, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province has just started construction at the end of last year.
The Prime Minister agreed to upgrade the construction of Gia Binh airport to international scale, from level 3C to level 4E.
Hanoi City has also agreed on the plan to build a nearly 50km, 120m wide road connecting Gia Binh airport with the center of the capital.
