After coach Masatada Ishii's contract was terminated by the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), many speculations have appeared about who will sit in the "hot seat".
Among the names mentioned, Anthony Hudson - current technical director of FAT unexpectedly became a strong candidate, although his profile caused a lot of controversy.

According to the Thai press, Mr. Hudson is one of the names on FAT's shortlist. Meanwhile, Khaosod quoted an insider as saying that FAT is leaning towards selecting people who have worked in the system to ensure continuity for the long-term development strategy.
However, Hudson's coaching profile is not really convincing. Although he comes from a family with a football tradition as the son of former player Alan Hudson, his playing career is almost insignificant.
After moving to coaching, Mr. Hudson led small teams in the US and UK but did not achieve much success. His biggest mark was the Bahrain U23 Gulf Cup championship. The time leading New Zealand and Colorado Rapids in MLS did not leave any outstanding results, even being fired.
Thai media believes that, compared to those who once led the Golden Temple team such as Akira Nishino, Rajevac or Ishii himself, Mr. Hudson is inferior in both name and international experience.
Thai public opinion currently has many different opinions. A part of the fans support the option of appointing Mr. Hudson to keep him stable, because he has worked long enough with FAT as well as the players on professional issues.
Meanwhile, others are concerned that this is a more cost-effective decision than a professional investment. In fact, his coaching experience is not as good as his predecessors.
"If we had appointed Hudson, it would have been better to keep Ishii. This is an un Understanding decision and the consequences can come immediately," commented a Thai fan.
Previously, after coach Ishii spoke up to accuse the Thai Football Federation of dishonesty in its work, fans in the land of the Golden Temple spoke out to criticize FAT.

Many people even took a more severe stance when calling on Madam Pang to resign. On social networks, posts with the content "Madam get out" continuously appeared.
The personal page of the President of the Football Association of Thailand received thousands of angry comments and questioning. "War Elephants" fans asked Madam Pang to frankly face the public:
