Hanoi Police meet The Cong Viettel in round 1 of V.League 2025-2026

The focus of round 1 of V.League 2025-2026 is the match between Hanoi Police and The Cong Viettel in the "Capital derby".

On the afternoon of July 14, a draw ceremony for the 2025-2026 National Football Championship took place in Hanoi.

Accordingly, this season's V.League has the participation of 14 professional clubs. Of which, the 3 teams with new names are Becamex HCMC (former name is Becamex Binh Duong), Ho Chi Minh City Police (former name is HCMC) and Ninh Binh (former name is Phu Dong Ninh Binh).

In addition, 11 other clubs still keep their names, including Dong A Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, The Cong Viettel.

According to the draw results for the competition schedule, round 1 of V.League 2025-2026 includes 7 matches. The highlight is the "Capital derby" match between Hanoi Police and The Cong Viettel at Hang Day Stadium.

Meanwhile, Quang Nam will host Song Lam Nghe An at home; SHB Da Nang will visit Dong A Thanh Hoa; defending champion Nam Dinh will meet Hai Phong in Thien Truong; Hong Linh Ha Tinh will face rookie Ninh Binh; Ho Chi Minh City Police will face Hanoi FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai will face Becamex Ho Chi Minh City.
