On January 14, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang of the Vietnamese women's futsal team attended a press conference before the opening day of Group D of the 2025 Asian women's futsal qualifying round.
When asked about the Vietnamese team’s preparation for this tournament and the team’s goals, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: “We have prepared thoroughly for this tournament with nearly 6 weeks of concentration. We are trying to improve our tactics and techniques and research solutions to confront each team in Group D. The goal of the Vietnamese women’s futsal team is to aim for the top spot in the group.”
Regarding the opponent in the opening match, Myanmar, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang commented: “The Vietnamese women's futsal team met the Myanmar women's futsal team in the recent Southeast Asian tournament and had information about them. We also have solutions to overcome them. However, the host team Myanmar now has a new, experienced coach, so we need to be more careful with their changes.
The new head coach of the Myanmar women's futsal team is the one who led the Myanmar men's futsal team, who drew 1-1 with the Vietnam men's futsal team at the 2024 Asian futsal tournament. Our goal tomorrow is a win."
The opening match of the Asian women's futsal tournament qualifying round between the Vietnamese women's futsal team and Myanmar will take place at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow (January 15).
