In traditional Vietnamese costumes, Do Hoang Hen fluently sang the National Anthem at the flag-raising ceremony before officially receiving the Decision to become a Vietnamese citizen.
He shared: I am very happy, proud and feel extremely grateful. I have officially become a Vietnamese citizen. I love the country and people of Vietnam.
I am eager to contribute to Vietnamese football. I will try harder to be worthy of everyone's trust and contribute my best to Hanoi Football Club as well as Vietnamese football".
Officially being granted Vietnamese citizenship is an important milestone not only for Hoang Hen personally, but also the result of the active working process of Hanoi club over the past many months.
Since signing the contract in May 2025, Hanoi FC and Hendrio have both expressed their desire to become Vietnamese citizens, thereby helping the Brazilian midfielder to contribute long-term to the country's football.
Over the past few months, the Hanoi FC Board of Directors has closely coordinated with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and relevant agencies to ensure the approval process is carried out in accordance with procedures and efficiency.
The Capital Football Team also supports Hoang Hen in learning Vietnamese, learning about Vietnamese culture, history and law - important factors in the naturalization application.
This support not only shows responsibility but also reflects Hanoi FC's sustainable development orientation of building a professional environment, helping foreign players integrate and stay with the team as well as fans for a long time.
Do Hoang Hen will officially qualify to compete in V.League 2025-2026 right from the round when Hanoi welcomes Ninh Binh at Hang Day Stadium at 7:15 p.m. on October 18.

Do Hoang Hen is one of the best foreign players in V.League in recent years, with technical playing style, modern thinking and high ability to create breakthroughs.
