On August 26, the deadline for teams to register to add to the list of players for phase 1, Hanoi club included Do Hoang Hen in the list of players, giving him the number 11 shirt. Thanks to successful naturalization, the player born in 1994 will no longer be a foreign player.
In sharing about the new name, Hoang Hen said he chose the Do family name to pay tribute to Mr. Do Quang Hien, and at the same time chose the word "Hoang" with the Imperial meaning and the golden color symbolizing success. After many years of living in Vietnam, he has learned Vietnamese culture, learned Vietnamese, and can communicate quite fluently and sing the national anthem.
Before becoming a Vietnamese citizen, Hoang Hen had not been registered by Hanoi club in the first 3 rounds of the season. The addition of this midfielder is expected to help the capital team improve their performance, after losing to Ho Chi Minh City Police and drawing with Hoang Anh Gia Lai at home, currently only 11th in the rankings.
Hoang Hen used to wear the Barca U16 shirt, and was highly appreciated for his technique, creativity and teamwork. He joined Vietnamese football in 2021 when he signed a contract with Binh Dinh club, and has been with the club for more than 5 years.
Having officially become a domestic player, this midfielder is eligible to wear the Vietnam national team jersey and has the opportunity to be called up by coach Kim Sang-sik in the future.
