Reporter: In the recent final match of the Southeast Asian U23 tournament, the U23 Vietnam team won against the host team U23 Indonesia at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, how do you feel?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: Playing away, we won the championship for the third consecutive time, that is a very happy and joyful thing. In particular, the whole team gave gifts to Vietnamese fans. That is the most important thing.
Reporter: The 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament started with coach Kim Sang-sik having doubts, what do you think about this?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: Before the tournament, the national team lost to Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, but the coaching staff and I tried not to affect U23 Vietnam. We try to motivate and confident the players. We sweat and work hard together to play well. That is what I feel happiest about.
Reporter: There are leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) who have expressed their opinion: The level of coaches is not necessarily a factor for the team's success, but it must be the suitability. Do you agree with this view? In what situation do you think you are?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: With the work of a coach, there are many factors to form in terms of tactics, motivating players, communication and relationships... I thank President Tran Quoc Tuan for choosing and giving me the opportunity to work. In addition, I need to make efforts to find a training plan, how to train the best players.

Reporter: In the recent final match, there were some opinions that the bottles of water were scattered on the sidelines to make it difficult for U23 Indonesia to throw on the sidelines. It was not a trick, but it accidentally became effective. What do you think about this?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: In competition, it is normal for players to need water and water next to the piste. But for the opponent, they are probably too sensitive to that situation.
Reporter: Continuously winning all official tournaments I participate in, Mr. Kim Sang-sik thinks he can consider him the "king of Midas" of Vietnamese football?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: The recent Southeast Asian U23 Championship was the effort and sweat of the players. Along with that, the coaching staff analyzed the tactics of the players and opponents to create that success. I also hope that when I touch something, it will turn gold.
Reporter: After the impressive victory in this tournament, have you started thinking about your goals at the 33rd SEA Games?
Coach Kim Sang-sik: I would like to thank the players once again, the thoughtfulness of VFF from the very beginning in Vung Tau, the facilities for the players to practice, and at the same time thank the fans for always supporting and encouraging the whole team to develop more. For me, the goal of the SEA Games is definitely to win the championship. We try to promote and regain confidence in competing to achieve the goals we have set.
