- Midfielder Hai Long: My emotions are still the same as when I lifted the championship trophy in Thailand with the Vietnamese team. That was a moment that I can never forget in my playing career.

- I am honored and proud to contribute to the national team. Therefore, every goal is equally important. All are aimed at the same goal of bringing joy to the fans and bringing glory to the Fatherland.
When facing Thailand in a final match, how was Hai Long's mentality? Was he still wary of the Thais?
- Personally, I don't care too much about who my opponent is. I just focus on myself and my team to improve my playing style, how to play better, and contribute as much as possible to the team. For me, Thailand or any team is the same.
Xuan Son is an important player for the Vietnamese team at the ASEAN Cup 2024. When this player was lying on the field, in pain due to a serious injury in the second leg of the final, what did you and your teammates think at that time?
- Not only Xuan Son, but any player who gets injured like that, the whole team will feel very worried. At that time, the match is still going on, my teammates and I still have to continue playing. Therefore, we know that we need to return to the highest state of concentration to play well.
Under coach Kim Sang-sik, the Vietnamese team shows a family-like bond. How does Hai Long feel about this?
- I think the factor that creates the success of the Vietnamese team at the ASEAN Cup 2024 is the spirit of solidarity. In daily life, the atmosphere is very cheerful, but during training, it is always serious. Coach Kim Sang-sik is both friendly and strict. During activities, there is no distance between the coach and the players. Coach Kim always jokes with the whole team to create the most comfortable atmosphere. But when he steps onto the training field, he is very meticulous and strict.
How will winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 motivate you in the upcoming journey?
- This is my first championship with the national team. It will be the motivation for me to continue trying in the future, to improve myself so that I can contribute my part, bring titles to the team as well as bring joy to the fans.
After winning the championship with the team, Hai Long donated the prize money to many charity activities. What is the message you want to convey?
- My team and I won the ASEAN Cup 2024, in addition to the efforts of the whole team, it is also a contribution from the love of the fans. I want to share that happiness with more difficult circumstances. Through this, I want to spread this action to more young people so that we can join hands to help more people.
Since moving to Hanoi FC, Hai Long has become more well-known and has had the opportunity to shine. Is moving to the Capital team a turning point in your career?
- That's right. Wearing the Hanoi FC jersey changed my career. The team has helped me a lot, it is an environment for me to develop myself. There are good coaches, teammates, seniors like Van Quyet and Hung Dung. They are examples for us to follow. Hanoi FC is definitely an indispensable part of my career.
Closing the mission with the national team, this is the time for Hai Long to focus on the club. In the 2024-2025 season, Hanoi FC faces many difficulties. What is Hai Long's goal with the club in the coming time?
- The team's success is in the past. It's all in the past. I will try my best to focus with Hanoi FC to complete the goals set for this season, such as winning the V.League. Personally, I also want to play well to be on the team list in the next gatherings.
