Group B The 2026 U20 Asian Women's Qualifiers will kick off on August 6. U20 Vietnam women's team will be the host of this group.
Before the opening match, on the morning of August 5, head coach Okiyama Masahiko attended a press conference.
He said: "I highly appreciate the recent preparation process. Currently, no one in the team is injured. I personally feel no pressure and the goal will be to win a ticket to the final round".
Meanwhile, captain Luu Hoang Van affirmed that the Vietnam U20 Women's Team has prepared well: "We have a clear goal and will try to achieve that goal.
I have competed with my seniors, learned many things from spirit and playing style. Together we overcome difficulties in a spirit of solidarity".
Vietnam U20 Women's Team has been training since July 1 to prepare for this qualifying round. Coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team also have a training and friendly match in Japan for the players to rub shoulders and learn.
Meanwhile, the Singapore U20 women's coach said that this team has had the best preparation after the training trip and is ready to face host Vietnam.
"The players' spirit is high to contribute to the upcoming qualifiers.I want my players to fight and try hard on the pitch to achieve the best results for the team, Mr. Fazrul Nawaz emphasized.
The remaining two teams in Group B, the U20 Kyrgyzstan women's team and the U20 Hong Kong women's team (China), also aim to win tickets to the finals taking place in 2026.
In the opening match, U20 Vietnam women's team will face U20 Singapore women's team and at 19:00 on August 6.
