Not enough to work during the day to work at night
The North-South expressway construction investment project, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section, has a total investment of more than VND 20,400 billion (of which, the construction value is nearly VND 14,500 billion), with a length of 88km, passing through the provinces of Quang Ngai (60.3km) and Binh Dinh (27.7km). This is the largest project of the 12 component projects.
According to the contract, the project completion date is August 2026. However, the parties are striving to basically complete the road before September 30, 2025. In particular, tunnel No. 3 will be completed before December 31, 2025 - 8 months ahead of schedule stated in the contract.

To achieve that result, the investor and contractors worked at maximum capacity, taking advantage of the construction day and night. evidence of that spirit, these days, the weather in Quang Ngai is entering the hottest heat period since the beginning of the year, however, at the large Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway construction site, thousands of workers are still working hard day and night.
On August 5, Deo Ca Group (the lead contractor of the consortium) said that it is currently implementing 50 50 50 50 50 of the construction teams at the site, with 3,060 personnel and 1,140 equipment. The total value of construction output to date has reached about VND10,000 billion, equivalent to 75% of the total volume.
Currently, tunnels 1 and 2 have completed construction, and have installed electromechanical equipment such asjet fans, lighting systems, monitoring sensors... and intelligent traffic control systems (TS).

Regarding the road, about 20km of crushed stone has been constructed; about 19km of cement reinforced crushed stone; about 17km of asphalt concrete. The on-site sewers and the assembled sewers on the main route have been completed.
The bridge section has deployed all 29/29 bridges, completing the items of bored piles and piers; the girder and bridge deck section has reached about 80%.
Completion of the third largest mountain tunnel in the country by the end of 2025
For the tunnel item on the route, tunnels 1 and 2 have so far completed the construction and installation of electromechanical equipment. tunnel No. 3 is 3,200m long, road surface width is 12.75m/ underpass.
Of which, the right tunnel (North - South direction) was dug on April 28, 2025, 6 months ahead of schedule; the left tunnel was also dug on June 28, 2025. When completed, the tunnel will be the third largest mountain tunnel in the country.

After completing the excavation, the contractor will continue to dig down the ground, pour concrete for the tunnel lining, road surface... according to the plan to complete the concrete lining of both tunnels in October, install equipment and complete the entire tunnel No. 3 by the end of December 2025.
In early August 2025, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, together with leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities inspected the actual implementation of site clearance for the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Component Project, the section passing through Quang Ngai province.

Through on-site inspection and based on reports from relevant units and localities, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam requested departments, branches, sectors and local authorities where the project passes through to strengthen coordination with construction units to promptly remove difficulties and completely handle existing problems.
Avoid stagnation due to lack of unity in coordination or shirking responsibility. Contents beyond its authority need to be reported promptly for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct the resolution.
