The U22 Vietnam team returned to the training ground on the afternoon of November 17 after a day of physical recovery at the hotel, continuing to perfect the strategy for the final match against U22 Korea at the Panda Cup 2025 international friendly tournament.
The past two matches showed the team's clear progress when they won U22 China 1-0 and only lost to U22 Uzbekistan 0-1. Despite losing to the Central Asian team, U22 Vietnam still had a good match, creating many opportunities but not taking advantage of them in the final stages.
The U22 Vietnam training session took place with a focused and relaxed spirit. The coaching staff adjusted the exercise volume to a moderate level to help players maintain their physical rhythm and stay alert before the final match.
Coach Dinh Hong Vinh assessed the match against U22 Korea as an important opportunity to review the force, accumulate competition experience and continue to improve the playing style. In particular, this is a key preparation step for the two upcoming key goals, the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 U23 Asian Cup finals.
U22 Korea is a team with strong physical strength, speed and a modern playing style. Therefore, this confrontation is a quality test for U22 Vietnam.
The team still has reason to be confident when they drew 1-1 with U22 Korea in March 2025 in another tournament of the Chinese Football Federation. In that match, Thanh Nhan opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, before Kim Woo-bin equalized the extra time.
This result will be a significant spiritual support for U22 Vietnam. If they prepare well, Khuat Van Khang and his teammates can completely look forward to the positive rematch against U22 Korea at 2:30 p.m. on November 18 (Vietnam time).
