Based on the report and professional documents on the match, the Organizing Committee has summarized the related situations and transferred documents to the Vietnam Football Federation Committee for review and evaluation.
VPF Company always coordinates and provides maximum support for the Referees of the Vietnam Football Federation to perform well the refereeing work, contributing to ensuring the success of the tournament.
For the common goal of success of the tournament, VPF Company and the tournament organizing committee hope to continue to receive close cooperation and constructive and positive contributions from Song Lam Nghe An football club", VPF's document No. 121/VPF/TCDT sent to Song Lam Nghe An team on April 28 clearly stated.
Before that, Song Lam Nghe An suffered a 0-1 defeat to The Cong Viettel at Hang Day Stadium (evening of April 25-) in round 20 of V.League 2024-2025.
In the 51st minute of the match, from Ho Van Cuong's corner kick, the away team's central defender Le Van Thanh rushed in to finish into the home team's net.
However, the referee Nguyen Viet Duan received a signal from the assistants and did not recognize the goal. Accordingly, assistant Tran Van Hai (referee) waved the flag of the ball that went all the crossroads from Van Cuong's corner kick before Van Thanh put the ball into the net.
The Lam Nghe An River Club said that the decisions of the referee and the Var team made the match and the results change continuously in the direction of unfavorable for this team. Therefore, the Nghe team sent Official Letter No. 57/CV.SLNA.2025 to the Vietnam Football Federation, the VFF Arbitration Board and the Organizing Committee of the tournament, proposing to review the arbitration work and VAR technology.
