Implementing the Prime Minister's telegram No. 23/CD-TTg dated March 15, 2025 on accelerating the progress of measles vaccination, Quang Ninh province actively implements vaccination campaigns throughout the area.
As of the afternoon of March 30, Quang Ninh has completed the goal of measles vaccination for children aged 6 months to 10 years, reaching a rate of 95.9%.
Many localities have completed the campaign at a rate of 100%, including Dong Trieu City, Quang Yen Town and Binh Lieu District. The remaining localities all achieved vaccination rates of 92% or more.
During the vaccination process, the whole province recorded 71 cases of normal reactions, all were stable, no cases of severe reactions were recorded.

From the beginning of 2025 to March 27, Quang Ninh recorded 195 cases of measles, of which more than 70% had not been vaccinated, 12% had no clear vaccination history and 16% had only been vaccinated with at least one vaccine dose. Thanks to the timely implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures, the province has not recorded a widespread outbreak.
The measles vaccination campaign started on March 21, mobilizing 190 vaccination teams in communes, wards, towns and 3 hospitals: Provincial General Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics and Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi.
There are 200 vaccination points mainly in health stations, schools and hospitals. The available measles vaccine is 42,550 doses, ensuring enough to vaccinate all subjects in the campaign.
Throughout the campaign, there were 45 emergency teams on duty 24/7 at hospitals and medical centers to provide timely support to people.
According to the plan, health centers will continue to be vaccinated on March 31, focusing on groups of children who have not been vaccinated at the Provincial Social Protection Center and the Children's Protection and Care Facility for Children in Special Circumstances.
In particular, localities that have not yet achieved the rate such as Ha Long City, Uong Bi City and Van Don District will continue to implement.
