On April 19, the Trade Union of Kanaan Bao Loc Company Limited coordinated with the company's leaders to organize a special shift meal for workers.
This is a vegetarian meal prepared according to the beliefs of the Catholic community during the Christmas season.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union - said that Kanaan Bao Loc Company Limited is a 100% Korean enterprise, specializing in the production of export bags and backpacks.
Currently, the company creates jobs for nearly 1,400 workers, mainly local people and ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. Of which, more than 50% of workers are Catholics, unbelievers...
Based on the understanding of the lives and spiritual needs of workers, the union has proposed organizing a shift meal on the occasion of the return of the holiday.
The activity aims to strengthen solidarity and spread the spirit of "living a good life, being beautiful" in the religious working community.
"We organize this special shift meal to encourage and share with workers during the Christmas season, helping them have more joy and fulfillment," Ms. Mai Trang shared.
Ms. Ka Hoi - a worker at the company - emotionally said: "The workers are very happy and touched when the union cares. Today's meal has 4 dishes, including vegetarian dishes for us to choose from".
She also said that the union and the company's leaders always accompany and care for the material and spiritual lives of workers through many meaningful activities such as giving gifts on birthdays, Christmas, the anniversary of the founding of the union, etc.
Before the break, we received a message from the Union announcing a special meal with warm Christmas wishes. Everyone was surprised, but very happy and joyful, said Ms. Ka Hoi.
