Information from the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union on January 2nd said that in the period 2023 - 2025, union member development work has always been concerned and implemented, focusing on mobilizing workers in units that meet the conditions to participate in the trade union organization.
In the period 2023 - 2025, the entire Vietnam Rubber Trade Union system admitted 20,991 union members (in 2023 it was 5,617 people; in 2024 it was 5,923 people; in 2025 it was 9,451 people).
However, due to labor fluctuations, labor shortages occurring in some units, and the number of recruitments is small, the recruitment of new union members faces many difficulties. Due to labor shifts and the number of workers reaching retirement age, the number of union members tends to decrease compared to the beginning of the term.
In addition, implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee on "Building a streamlined, effective, and efficient apparatus" and the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, the organizational system of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union has been reviewed and rearranged in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, and suitability with the organizational and management model of the group.
Accordingly, at the beginning of the term, there were 10 grassroots directly superior trade unions, 196 grassroots trade unions; after arrangement, there was still 1 grassroots directly superior trade union, 78 grassroots trade unions; the number of full-time trade union officials decreased from 82 people at the beginning of the term to 52 people by the end of 2025.
