On the evening of January 20, the Railway Trade Union organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" (program) in the Gia Lam - Long Bien area (Hanoi).
The above activities aim to take care of the spiritual and material life of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the leader of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, the lives of railway workers are closely linked to train trips - many of whom are away from their families and miss important holidays and Tet to ensure smooth traffic. Their silent sacrifices deserve to be recognized and respected.
Understanding the hardships, difficulties and disadvantages of workers in the industry, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union organized a program to give gifts and encourage the spirit of workers in units in the Gia Lam - Long Bien area.
Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union, said that the program is not only a gratitude event, but also marks a year with many outstanding achievements of the railway industry.
“The biggest feeling in me right now is joy and excitement because the whole industry has completed and exceeded the assigned plan, growing compared to the same period in terms of targets, especially the income of workers. And from there, the work of caring for, improving working and living conditions, enhancing the material and spiritual life of workers is getting better and better, helping workers to be excited and feel secure in their work” - Mr. Phuong expressed at the program.
It is known that the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" in 2025 was organized by the Vietnam Railway Trade Union in many locations, with many practical and meaningful activities to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
According to the report, the average income of railway workers in 2024 is 12.95 million VND.
