On November 18, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) Trade Union said that in 2024, units in the TKV Trade Union system coordinated to organize 201 dialogues with the direct participation of 20,680 workers.
Through the dialogues, 4,567 opinions of workers were received and resolved by leaders at all levels; units arranged 432 meetings to receive people, of which 349 people were received and 189 opinions of workers were resolved. 54 meetings were organized to monitor the implementation of the Resolution of the Workers' Conference and the Collective Labor Agreement.
Along with that, TKV Trade Union also organized a Conference to give opinions on the salary scale system and salary table of TKV applied from July 1, 2024; guide the salary payment regulations and salary levels according to job positions applied internally in TKV and draft regulations on salary payment, bonuses, incentives and economic measures to link the responsibility of employees with occupational safety and hygiene (OSH).
After the conference, the minutes were agreed between the TKV Trade Union and the General Director of the Group on the salary scale system and salary table, according to which the salary of employees increased from 10% - 30% depending on the job position (average increase of 14%).
Other democratic organizations include organizing a survey of workers about the quality of meal service, toxic compensation, living conditions, housing conditions, bathing, and working conditions; through suggestion boxes and suggestion books of workers and safety and hygiene workers at construction sites and workshops; through the TKV Trade Union website and the TKV Trade Union Legal Consulting Fanpage to advise and guide workers.
In 2024, TKV Trade Union at all levels provided legal advice to 2,093 people; held 67 direct legal consultation meetings with union members and workers; issued 73 legal consultation documents and topics, and participated in 38 documents providing comments on the development of policies and laws of the State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and TKV.
Coordinated the organization for 20 delegates representing coal industry workers to participate in the voter contact program of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province on the occasion of Workers' Month 2024.
Organize a conference on worker transportation and travel services for workers. At the conference, the limitations of the service providers for worker transportation were pointed out. At the same time, there were opinions and recommendations on the transportation of workers working in the mine, as well as a plan to arrange vehicles to take and pick up workers to their hometowns for the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025.
