Vietnam Construction Trade Union sets a target of 75% of workers improving their skills by 2030

The Vietnam Construction Trade Union strives to achieve 75% of workers in the industry participating in studying to improve their skills and professional skills by 2030.

On June 30, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union - said that the industry union has just issued guidelines for implementing the program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers at enterprises to 2030" for the period 2026-2030 (program) organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

According to the leader of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, trade union levels in the industry will promote propaganda to create unity in the awareness and actions of Party committees, authorities, employers and the whole society about the importance and responsibility of the entire political system in performing the task of promoting lifelong learning activities among workers at enterprises, contributing to building a modern and strong Vietnamese working class to meet the requirements of building and developing the country in the new era and for the goal of "double-digit" growth.

Strengthen the responsibility of trade union levels in propaganda, mobilization, and support for workers at enterprises to form self-study habits, actively study to improve their qualifications, skills, legal understanding, life skills, and strive to achieve the title "Learning Citizen".

The Vietnam Construction Trade Union strives to achieve by 2030 90% of workers at enterprises being propagated, disseminated, studied, and thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws related to workers associated with theoretical contents on the functions and tasks of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization; strive to achieve by 2030 75% of workers at enterprises participating in studying to improve their skills and professional skills;

Strive to achieve 75% of workers at enterprises participating in learning life skills education content by 2030; strive to achieve 65% of workers at enterprises being familiarized with information technology and digital technology by 2030; strive to achieve 50% of workers at enterprises achieving the title "Learning Citizen" issued by competent authorities by 2030...

To complete the above striving goals, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union will continue to propagate, disseminate, and raise awareness about lifelong learning, contributing to building a learning society; implement measures to support workers to study regularly to improve the quality and effectiveness of lifelong learning; promote research and application of information technology and digital technology in organizing lifelong learning activities for workers; organize emulation movements, campaigns, and activities to support and promote lifelong learning among workers; strengthen coordination between levels and sectors to promote lifelong learning activities for workers...
