On the morning of October 17, the Vietnam Health Trade Union held a conference to summarize 5 years and commend and reward typical examples in the emulation movement, "Good at public work, good at home work" of female union members in the health sector in the period of 2020-2025.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Minh Khue - full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health; Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department.
Presenting a summary report of 5 years of implementing the emulation movement "Good at public work - good at housework" among female workers and civil servants in the health sector, period 2020 - 2025, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union said that in the past 5 years, the emulation movement "Good at public work - good at housework" has truly become a bright spot in the activities of health sector trade unions, implemented extensively, methodically and synchronously from the Vietnam Health Trade Union to each grassroots trade union.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has directed the implementation of the movement "Good at public work - Good at housework" closely, associated with the implementation of professional tasks, patriotic emulation movements, activities for the advancement of women and building happy families. Many units have included the criteria for implementing the movement in the annual emulation assessment and classification system, thereby helping the movement become a driving force to motivate women to constantly practice, improve their qualifications and professional skills, while preserving and promoting the role of women in the family and society.
The content of the movement is increasingly expanded, deepening into the quality and characteristics of each unit, ensuring compliance with the requirements of innovation and integration of the health sector. In particular, the movement has aroused the sense of responsibility and dedication to the profession of female health workers - who are directly contributing significantly to the mission of caring for and protecting people's health.

At the same time, propaganda and education work continues to be innovated in both content and form. The Vietnam Health Trade Union has organized 6 training courses for more than 1,300 union officials on gender equality, reproductive health, population and family. The grassroots trade unions also organized more than 900 seminars and talks, attracting nearly 87,000 union members and workers to participate.
By mid-2025, the movement had recorded 29,534 female union members and workers achieving the title of "Good at public work - Good at housework" at the grassroots level, accounting for 90% of the total number of female workers and civil servants who are qualified. This is a very encouraging number, clearly demonstrating the practical effectiveness and attractiveness of the movement.
Not only stopping at quantity, the quality of advanced models in the movement is also constantly improved. During this period, 2 collectives and 2 female individuals were honored to receive the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Award for Women's Creative Talent. In particular, a female individual in the industry was awarded the Kovalevskaia Award - a prestigious award for outstanding female intellectuals in scientific research and practical application.
Along with that, 22 grassroots trade unions and 340 outstanding female individuals were honored at the 10th anniversary of the implementation of Resolution 6b/NQ-BCH for the period 20102020.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union said that the movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework" is one of the typical emulation movements with profound political and social significance, launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 1989. After more than three decades of implementation, the movement has become a regular and in-depth activity, creating positive motivation for female workers and civil servants across the country. In particular, the movement has shined at all levels of the health sector's trade unions. The movement not only affirms the role, position and good qualities of Vietnamese women but also contributes to promoting the intelligence, creativity and social responsibility of female health workers in the work and life sector.
Ms. Pham Thanh Binh said that, entering the period of 2025-2030, the movement "Good at public work - Good at housework" needs to be further innovated, creatively contented and methods of operation, more closely linked to professional tasks; replicating good models and effective methods; promoting communication work and creating conditions for female cadres to further promote their intelligence, potential and comprehensive qualities, associated with building a strong Trade Union organization.
"The Vietnam Health Trade Union will continue to accompany, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights of female union members; discover, nurture and honor advanced models, build the image of women in the health sector "Dedicated - intellectual - humane - creative" in the new era", Ms. Pham Thanh Binh emphasized.
The conference will honor 9 typical collectives and 115 outstanding individuals, thereby recognizing the outstanding and positive contributions of collectives and individuals to the movement "Good at public work, good at home work" among female cadres, workers and civil servants in the health sector, period 2020 - 2025.
