Determined not to let her family worry about finances, Le Thuy Hang studied and worked, paying all her tuition and living expenses herself.
However, finding a stable job after graduation is not easy. For many employers, hiring a disabled person is still unacceptable. But Le Thuy Hang did not give up, she persevered and with the help of her friends, finally found her first job as a cashier at a mini supermarket.
Not only focusing on herself, Thuy Hang is also determined to support people in the same situation. The biggest turning point in her life was when she joined the Association of People with Disabilities in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
Here, she not only found the meaning of life but also realized her responsibility to the community. Le Thuy Hang volunteered to participate in all activities of the Association, from vocational training, skills training, to organizing social events for people with disabilities.
With her constant efforts, Le Thuy Hang assumed the position of President of the Association of People with Disabilities in Cong Vi Ward, Vice President of the Disabled Youth Club, President of the District Disabled Women's Club and Standing Member of the District Association of People with Disabilities.
In addition to her contributions to the community, Le Thuy Hang is also a devoted wife and mother. She currently has a small, happy family with her husband, two children, a boy and a girl, and is 8 months pregnant with her third child.
