First, you should prioritize fresh tuna or canned tuna soaked in water instead of soaking in oil. Tuna soaked in oil can significantly increase calories, causing counterproductive effects during weight loss. When buying canned tuna, you need to carefully read the ingredients to avoid products containing a lot of salt or preservatives. With fresh tuna, the best processing method that housewives should apply is steaming, pan-frying without oil, baking with foil or mixing salad. These methods maintain a natural deliciousness without adding excess fat.

Second, it is necessary to combine tuna with fiber-rich foods such as green vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers, or whole grains. A plate of tuna salad with fresh vegetables and a little nuts will help balance nutrition, prolong fullness and limit cravings. Avoid eating tuna with mayonnaise, fatty cheese, or fried foods because these methods increase saturated fat.

Third, controlling portion sizes is a key factor. Although tuna is good for weight loss, eating too much can still lead to excess calories. When setting up a diet, housewives should only use about 100–150g of tuna, combined with slow-release starch such as brown rice or sweet potatoes in moderate amounts. In addition, you should maintain a variety of protein sources such as chicken breast, eggs, and tofu to balance nutrition.

Finally, housewives need to note that tuna may contain a certain amount of mercury. Therefore, only eat 2-3 meals of tuna per week, interspersed with other types of fish.
