As the skin warms, blood flow increases, making the face look fresh and radiant. That is why many people choose this method in the morning to reduce swelling around the eyes and brighten the skin, explains Dr. Suby Kakkar.

Dr. Kakkar notes that this method is not suitable for everyone.

People with sensitive skin, red acne, or dry skin need to be careful. Because cold temperatures can cause irritation, redness or make the skin dry.

Using ice water too often can deplete the skin's natural moisture, leading to dry and flaky skin. In particular, applying stones directly to the skin for too long can damage the skin's protective barrier.

How to do it properly

Dr. Kakkar recommends: If you want to try this method, it is best to use cold water instead of direct ice to avoid shocking your skin. Only keep your face in cold water for 10-15 seconds at a time. Then apply moisturizer to keep your skin moist and prevent dry skin.

Using ice water for skin care can bring certain benefits if done properly. However, you need to be careful and listen to your body to ensure your skin is not damaged.
