In the new episode of the show "Newlyweds", MC Hong Van - Quoc Thuan comes to the humorous love story of the couple Le Nguyet Anh (34 years old, originally from Thanh Hoa, grew up in Hanoi) and Jong Yik Chieng (35 years old, Malaysian).
Nguyet Anh moved to Ho Chi Minh City 11 years ago and is currently a music teacher. Yik Chieng is the manager of a wind power company in District 1.
Nguyet Anh shared that two years ago, she went to Malaysia for a two-week music training course. Because the trip was expensive, she wanted to focus only on studying and not go out.
A mutual friend of both knew that Nguyet Anh was studying here so he wanted to introduce her to Yik Chieng. At that time, Nguyet Anh did not want to neglect her main work so she suggested meeting Yik Chieng after finishing the course.
Yik Chieng had experienced emotional trauma so he decided to stay single and avoid relationships. Being an introvert, he often felt shy when interacting with others. However, thanks to the encouragement from his friends, Yik Chieng opened up more and agreed to meet Nguyet Anh to make friends.
Right from the first meeting, both had a good feeling for each other. In the next two months, Nguyet Anh - Yik Chieng continuously texted and called each other.
On Valentine's Day, February 14, the Malaysian guy flew to Ho Chi Minh City to confess his love with a pre-prepared plan. However, because he arrived quite late, he could not carry out the plan as planned.
The next day, Yik Chieng invited Nguyet Anh to attend a friend's wedding. The girl's family secretly thought that maybe the guy would confess his love to her at the wedding. But in reality, nothing happened. After the event ended, Nguyet Anh asked Yik Chieng to go out on Nguyen Hue walking street.
Nguyet Anh knew that Yik Chieng wanted to confess his love but didn't dare. So on the way, she thought of "tricks" like leaning on her shoulder, putting her arm around her... so that her boyfriend could seize the opportunity, but he still didn't confess.
"At first, I was quite scared to propose. I was still scared because of my previous relationship," Yik Chieng explained.
During the more than an hour of conversation, Yik Chieng kept stuttering, constantly turning to look at the Vietnamese girl but not revealing his thoughts. Nguyet Anh wanted to leave but was still determined to signal the young man, but he still did not dare to respond.
However, Yik Chieng finally confessed his love to her at home. Realizing the sincerity of the Malaysian guy, Nguyet Anh accepted Yik Chieng's love.
More than a year later, the two got married. They have been married for more than 6 months now.
