On March 30, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that from the beginning of 2026 to now, 11 more grassroots trade unions have been established with 307 union members.
These are all private enterprises, non-state enterprises, clearly showing the direction of expanding trade union organizations into dynamic production and business sectors.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the establishment of grassroots trade unions and the admission of new union members aims to gather and unite workers. Thereby, taking care of and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members at enterprises.
At the same time, this is an important factor contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, creating motivation to promote sustainable production and business activities.

Focusing resources on this work is identified as a key and breakthrough task of the Lam Dong Trade Union in the 2025 - 2030 term.
According to the orientation approved at the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions in non-state-owned enterprises is one of the 3 breakthroughs.
The goal set is that by the end of the term, the whole province will develop to increase at least 20,000 union members, contributing to expanding the coverage of the trade union organization.
To achieve this goal, in the coming time, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation requests trade union levels to proactively review and firmly grasp the business situation and the number of workers, thereby developing appropriate mobilization plans. The focus is on foreign-invested enterprises, enterprises that have just started operating in industrial parks but do not yet have trade union organizations.
The content of propaganda focuses on clarifying the role and benefits of trade union organizations, creating consensus from businesses in establishing grassroots trade unions.

For places that already have grassroots trade unions, the task is to improve the quality of operations, increase attractiveness to develop more union members.
Over the past time, thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, workers' awareness of the role of trade unions has had positive changes. Many businesses have also proactively coordinated and created conditions to establish grassroots trade unions.
In addition, close coordination between trade unions at all levels and local authorities also helps the process of mobilizing and establishing grassroots trade unions to take place smoothly and in accordance with regulations. This is an important factor in the context of the increasing number of businesses in the province.
Currently, Lam Dong province is implementing many preferential mechanisms and policies to attract investment and expand production and business. The increase in businesses leads to a large demand for labor, while opening up room for the development of trade union organizations.
In that context, the Lam Dong Trade Union's focus on promoting the establishment of grassroots trade unions and developing union members in non-state-owned enterprises not only meets immediate requirements but also has long-term significance, contributing to building a stable labor force, ensuring social security and promoting local economic development.
