On October 17, the Trade Union of the Transport Industry of Binh Thuan Province, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Binh Thuan Province and the Trade Union of the Construction Industry of Binh Thuan Province organized a training conference for union officials in 2024.
200 union executive committee officials, inspection committee members, and accountants of affiliated grassroots unions participated in the training.
At the training session, delegates listened to a reporter from the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor present two topics on organizing conferences for civil servants and workers, participating in implementing grassroots democracy regulations, and new regulations on financial work of grassroots unions.
The contents of the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level were presented and discussed by the reporter, answering questions from trade union officials.
Reporter Tran Thi Xuan Tham, Head of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation, discussed at the training session that many members of the inspection committee at grassroots unions do not yet clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. Therefore, the training session aims to provide more professional knowledge for union officials.
Also at the training, union officials and accountants of grassroots unions were instructed on how to use union accounting software and union financial management; prepare estimates and reports on grassroots union financial settlement; inspect and supervise grassroots union financial management, etc.
These are important topics that grassroots union officials need to master to implement in their agencies and units to ensure democracy and solidarity. Thereby, improving the skills and methods of union activities, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
