Savimex Economic Cooperation & Import-Export Joint Stock Company is a company with a large workforce of about 1,000 workers. The club was established with a 10-member Executive Board. The Pioneer Men Club for Promoting Gender Equality will organize activities to promote gender equality, prevent and respond to gender-based violence under the guidance of the Women's Union of District 1 Labor Federation and the Executive Board of the Company's grassroots Trade Union.
Mr. Phan Huynh Thien - Deputy Head of Design Department, Head of Social Opinion Group of the Grassroots Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of Savimex Economic Cooperation & Import-Export Joint Stock Company - was chosen as the Chairman of the club. Right at the launching ceremony, the District 1 Labor Federation organized a tradition, providing consultation on reproductive health care, family planning to 300 union members and employees at the company. In addition to the contents on health care, reproductive health - family planning; how to recognize and prevent some sexually transmitted diseases, union members and employees were also propagated contents related to the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies on Population - family planning.
The Pioneer Men's Club promoting gender equality at Savimex Economic Cooperation & Import-Export Joint Stock Company was established on the occasion of the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2024 with the theme "Ensuring social security, empowering and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence".
According to the leader of the District 1 Labor Federation, in order for the Club to operate effectively, in the coming time, the District 1 Labor Federation will organize specific training sessions on contents related to the Club's Board of Directors. The establishment of the Club at a company with a large number of workers has met the need to understand and improve knowledge and awareness of health care and gender equality.
