The Standing Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation assessed and unanimously selected 10 outstanding Trade Union activities in 2025, clearly reflecting the effectiveness of directing, caring for union members, and protecting the rights of workers.
1. Arranging and streamlining the organizational structure after the merger
Complete the merger of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long Trade Unions; dissolve 38 directly superior units at the grassroots level, consolidate 5 professional fields, manage more than 170,000 union members, promptly stabilize ideology, and deploy tasks for 2025.
2. Works to celebrate Party Congresses at all levels
Prominent with social housing in Giao Long Industrial Park 600 billion VND and Long Duc Industrial Park Sports Center more than 60 billion VND; construction and repair of 99 Trade Union Warm Houses, reaching 247.5% of the target.
3. Workers' Month 2025 – Gratitude to workers
The launching ceremony attracted more than 1,000 union members, with dialogues, business meetings, support for workers in accidents; playgrounds Hours after work, Ringing the Golden Bell and sports festivals for 5,000 athletes.
4. Promoting representation and protecting the rights of union members
Trade union levels strengthen labor law supervision, social criticism; sign 20 new collective labor agreements, reaching 110% of the target; care for over 200,000 turns of people through Tet Sum vay, Trade Union Tet Market, Ben Tre Caravan 2025.
5. Develop union members and participate in Party building
In the year, the Trade Union developed 30,024 union members, reaching 100.08% of the target, established 84 grassroots trade unions; introduced 933 outstanding union members to the Party, and commended 50 workers as typical party members.
6. Effectiveness from patriotic emulation movements
The emulation movement achieved many achievements: 01 Certificate of Merit, 05 Certificates of Creative Labor from the General Confederation, Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee; registration of 548 labor safety and hygiene projects, commendation of 08 Grassroots Trade Union Presidents and 282 typical workers.
7. Organizing the "Trade Union Meal" program
Responding to the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, the program was organized at 3 businesses with more than 28,000 union members; 81 grassroots trade unions creatively deployed, serving 70,312 turns of workers, with a total budget of nearly 3.6 billion VND.
8. Meeting to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the Trade Union's founding
The Provincial Labor Federation organized a meeting to express gratitude to generations of leaders and more than 300 trade union officials from 3 old provinces (Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh). Cultural and sports activities and honoring typical examples were widely organized to encourage the emulation movement. This is an important opportunity to promote the glorious tradition and enhance the position of the Trade Union organization.
9. Women's work activities are vibrant and diverse
Women's work creates an impression with activities on March 8, Ao Dai Week, the "Men in the Kitchen" contest; commending 76 outstanding female union members, awarding more than 1,030 gifts and 30 scholarships to children of workers in difficult circumstances.
10. First Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress
The event took place enthusiastically with 298 delegates, marking the first term (2025-2030) after the province's merger. The Congress has completed 100% of the organization at 519 eligible grassroots trade unions. The Executive Committee consisting of 31 comrades was appointed to lead the organization and implementation of 3 breakthroughs, determined to build Vinh Long province to develop quickly and sustainably.
