As of the end of April 2025, the whole province of Cao Bang has 111 units and enterprises that owe social insurance (SI), health insurance (HI), unemployment insurance (UI) and occupational accident and disease insurance for 3 months or more, with a total amount of more than 11 billion VND.
Of which, 27 units have difficulty collecting nearly 7.3 billion VND in debt, including the Branch of Vietnam Minerals and Metallurgy Joint Stock Company in Cao Bang (over 5.9 billion VND); Viet Trung Coal and Mineral Industries Company (over 422 million VND); Tran Hung Cao Bang Company Limited (170 million VND); Cao Bang Mountain Development Investment Joint Stock Company (over 136 million VND)...
The remaining 84 units have long-term debt with an amount of more than 3.7 billion VND. Cao Bang City alone has 70 units owing over 3.2 billion VND. Other districts including Bao Lac, Bao Lam, Trung Khanh, Ha Lang, Quang Hoa, Hoa An, Nguyen Binh have a total debt of more than 500 million VND.
The situation of late insurance payment directly affects the rights of employees and reduces the strictness of law enforcement. The Cao Bang Provincial Social Insurance Agency is synthesizing documents and proposing to handle units that intentionally violate regulations.
