On July 6, the Vietnam Education Union (CĐGD) said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the CĐGD has maintained and integrated the inspection and supervision of the implementation of grassroots democracy. The CĐGD and the inspection team of the CĐGD Inspection Committee inspect and supervise at the trade unions of affiliated units to review obstacles and difficulties in the implementation of the Democracy Regulation at the grassroots level and issues directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of officials, teachers, and workers (CBNGNLĐ). From there, there are solutions to improve the quality of grassroots democracy implementation and enhance the role of trade union organizations in participating in building and implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulation.
According to the Vietnam Education Union, the work of collective labor agreements is maintained and effectively implemented by units and schools, bringing many benefits to workers higher than the provisions of law such as: The value of lunch meals has been increased according to market prices; increasing the value of some benefits (visits, funerals, joys, difficulty allowances).
In the process of building collective labor agreements, units have collected opinions from employees, conducted negotiations between the Trade Union Executive Committee and employers, and the quality of collective labor agreements has also been increasingly improved.
Summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution 7c/NQ-BCH of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Quality of lunch meals for workers", the goals and targets on the quality of basic lunch meals have been effectively implemented by trade union levels directly under the TU, showing the representative role of the trade union organization in implementing lunch meal quality for workers.
Accordingly, trade unions of units have proactively participated with employers to take care of the material and spiritual life of CBNGNLĐ; meals from 25,000 VND/portion - 35,000 VND/portion to ensure the health of CBNGNLĐ; 21/21 units successfully dialogued and negotiated to increase the value of meals from the minimum level to 25,000 VND/portion or more for 6,838 CBNGNLĐ to benefit. Units proactively build and arrange collective kitchens to improve the quality of mid-shift meals for CBNGNLĐ.
