On September 18, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hieu - Director of Dong Thap Employment Service Center (Center) - said that from the beginning of the year to now, the Center has organized and coordinated with localities and businesses to implement 110 job transaction sessions, attracting 353 turns of businesses to participate in direct and online recruitment, with a total demand of about 112,300 workers.
Connection activities attracted more than 151,000 people, including 24,700 direct attendees and over 127,000 livestream viewers. Through consulting, introduction and connection activities, 30,093 workers were employed and nearly 47,000 people were consulted on jobs at home and abroad.
According to Mr. Hieu, the above results come from the diversification of connection methods. Transaction sessions are organized in association with communes and wards, helping recruitment information reach workers closer, creating conditions for job seekers to meet businesses directly, learn about job requirements, income and register for interviews. In parallel, the Center strengthens online recruitment and livestreaming, expanding access for workers who do not have the conditions to participate directly. Businesses also have more channels to find candidates and expand recruitment sources.
Consulting activities not only focus on jobs in the province but also expand to jobs outside the province, vocational training and working abroad under contracts. The combination of many methods and contents helps workers access more suitable opportunities, while helping businesses find human resources according to their needs.
In the context of recruitment information on social networks becoming increasingly popular, connecting through official channels also helps workers have more basis to verify information, directly access recruitment units and be consulted before choosing a job.
According to the Center, in the last 3 months of 2026, recruitment demand is expected to continue to focus on the fields of production, food processing and sales. The repair, maintenance, mechanical, and electrical industries also have a need to recruit skilled workers. The Center recommends that workers who need to find jobs inside and outside the province, learn a trade or register to work abroad under contracts actively access official channels to be consulted and connected with suitable recruiting units.
