On September 17, IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the technical infrastructure construction of Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park in Tan Phuoc 3 commune, Dong Thap province. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of departments, branches, localities and investors.
According to IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company, Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park has a total area of 470 ha, expected to start welcoming investors from the first quarter of 2027. When fully filled and put into stable operation, the industrial park is expected to attract about 1.5 billion USD of total investment capital, creating jobs for about 20,000 workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu said that Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is an important project in industrial development and investment attraction of the province.
According to Mr. Dieu, the project is located in the Tan Phuoc industrial development dynamic economic zone, which is a continuation of Long Giang Industrial Park and Tan Huong Industrial Park. In addition to Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Dong Thap province has planned and continued to call for investment in industrial zones and clusters in this area, gradually forming a concentrated industrial production space.
Regarding connectivity advantages, Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is about 3 km away from the intersection connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan - Can Tho expressway, creating conditions for connecting with Ho Chi Minh City and economic centers of the Mekong Delta.
The industrial park also has the ability to connect with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, expanding connectivity to Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster. The inland waterway port system in the industrial park supports waterway cargo transportation, connecting with the river and sea network in the area.

According to IDICO, the advantage of location and transport infrastructure creates conditions for Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park to exploit agricultural and aquatic raw materials of the Mekong Delta, develop food production and processing industries and industrial sectors associated with the raw material strengths of the region.
Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, IDICO organized a meeting to introduce and attract investment in Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park.
At the conference, 5 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements were signed with a total area of 41 hectares. These are the first investment connections at Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, in the context of the project preparing to complete infrastructure to welcome investors from the first quarter of 2027.
Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu affirmed that the province will create favorable conditions for investors and secondary investors to implement projects; and fully implement preferential policies and attract investment according to regulations so that businesses can feel secure in investing and doing business in Dong Thap.
