On the evening of April 8, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized the program "Coming to Workers' Boarding Houses" in 2026 at Truong Thanh boarding house, Thanh Loc commune.
At the program, the Decision to establish the Truong Thanh Workers' Boarding House Self-Management Group model at Hoa Loc hamlet, Thanh Loc commune, An Giang province was announced and awarded.
The self-management group operates on the principle of voluntariness, self-management, democracy, coordination, aiming to gather workers who are renting rooms, contributing to stabilizing life and building a safe and cultural boarding house environment. The group is headed by Mr. Le Thanh Hoa (representative of the boarding house).
The worker boarding house self-management group operates according to contents such as propaganda and mobilization of workers to comply with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, local regulations and boarding house regulations.

Coordinate to maintain security and order, prevent crime and social evils; participate in fire prevention and fighting, ensure environmental sanitation. Grasp the situation of life, employment, thoughts, and aspirations of workers; promptly reflect to the Trade Union organization and relevant agencies.
Coordinate with the Trade Union, local authorities, and landlords to organize activities to care for material and spiritual life; support workers in difficult circumstances.
Participating in building and maintaining models "Cultural Workers' Dormitory", "Safe and Friendly Dormitory Area". Self-management groups operate under the guidance and support of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation and the coordination of local authorities and relevant agencies.
Self-management groups organize periodic activities suitable to actual conditions; implement information and feedback regimes when necessary.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that workers when returning from work gather together in the boarding area, to settle down, they really need a decent and safe living space. Self-management groups will help connect boarding workers with each other, and are also the extended arms of the Trade Union.
Right in the boarding house area, we work together to maintain security and order, reminding each other to live civilized lives, not to let social evils have a place to crowd. We hope that the boarding house area will not only have lights on but also warm human warmth, each room will not only have the sound of a fan but also greetings and sharing. Each worker must not only work well but also live beautifully and responsibly with the community," Mr. Thinh emphasized.
Mr. Le Thanh Hoa (representative of the boarding house) said that the boarding house has about 150 rooms with more than 300 workers, at times more than 400. The boarding house has been operating for about 10 years and has received the trust of workers working in Thanh Loc industrial park.
