Attending and directing the Congress was Ms. Tran Ngoc My - Vice President of the City Labor Federation and Chief of Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.

During the past term, the Trade Union of Soc Trang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital has promoted its role as a representative and cared for the rights of union members, staff, civil servants and workers.
The union proactively took care of Tet with 32 million VND to support union members; maintained periodic health check-ups and measured work environment with a budget of more than 877 million VND. Every year, the Board of Directors coordinates to organize study trips and professional exchanges with a total budget of more than 200 million VND.
The grassroots trade union focuses on supporting union members in their studies, improving their expertise and accessing training programs, while creating conditions for interest-free loans to improve their lives and spread the spirit of "mutual love".
The National Day Fund for Women was effectively maintained, supporting union members in difficult circumstances and cases of serious illnesses; mobilizing contributions to the Trade Union Shelter Fund, the Fund for the Poor and supporting people affected by storm Bualoi with a total amount of 142.6 million VND.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Tran Ngoc My - Vice President of the City Labor Federation and Chief of Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City - requested the Trade Union to continue to accompany the Board of Directors of Soc Trang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in medical ethics education, enhance the sense of responsibility and build a professional and dedicated service style; at the same time, improve procedures and working style to improve service quality, towards patient satisfaction.
The Vice President of the City Labor Federation emphasized the need to promote digital transformation, apply information technology; soon build a 24/7 union member feedback reception system to increase connectivity and promptly grasp thoughts and aspirations.
Trade unions need to promote their role in implementing the democratic regulations; fully participate in hospital councils to protect rights, ensure fairness in assessment, classification, and salary increase. Continue to maintain an interest-free mutual support fund and strengthen moral education, prevent internal disunity.
Ms. My also requested the grassroots trade union to strive for 100% of trade union groups to complete their tasks well; focus on training cadres, ensure that 100% of cadres from team leaders and above are trained; at the same time, introduce outstanding union members to the Party, strive to achieve and exceed the target of 30 new party members during the term.

The Congress elected the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union of 13 comrades; elected delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. Ms. Duong Thi Hoang Yen was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Soc Trang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union also launched a campaign to support people in the Central region affected by storms and floods.
