Choosing to become a worker changed the life of Thai girl
Born into a poor family in the difficult area of Muong Toong (old Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien), Ms. Lu Thi Van struggled to make a living from corn and cassava trees. In 2014, when Muong Nhe Rubber Joint Stock Company was established, the couple became workers and have been together ever since.
After more than 10 years of perseverance, rubber trees began to produce latex, Ms. Van's income reached 8-9 million VND/month. Dedicated to her profession, she became a good worker, was selected to participate in the 2024 "Golden Hands" Contest and was one of the four outstanding workers in the whole group.
Although it was her first time participating, Lu Thi Van excellently won the first prize of the contest. This is also the first time the Northern mountainous region has had a contestant win the First Prize at the group level.
Previously, Ms. Lu Thi Van had achieved many impressive achievements, such as: 7 consecutive years (from 2018 to 2024) of exceeding the exploitation output target, with an average salary of 7 to 8 million VND/month; Many consecutive years of achieving the title of "basic emulation fighter" and "Advanced worker"; Awarded the title of Good Worker at the 2024 Team and Golden Hands of Reining Rubber latex harvesting Contest...
After winning the first prize of the 14th Golden Hands of Rubber latex harvesting Contest in 2024 of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, in 2025, Lu Thi Van continued to receive the title of "Excellent Young Worker" nationwide for the 15th time.
Female worker loves her job and is determined to become a good worker
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Ms. Lu Thi Van said that she came to the rubber profession without any training from any school.
"In the first days of approaching the technique of growing, caring for, and exploiting rubber latex, I was very confused and had difficulty. However, with my love for the profession and my determination, I have always tried and always received the attention, encouragement, and enthusiastic guidance of technical staff, team command and company leadership. I have gradually matured and firmly accompanied the development of the company to this day" - Ms. Van said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoan - General Director of Muong Nhe Rubber Joint Stock Company, for skilled workers like Lu Thi Van, the fat-matching yield is always 5-10% higher than the average yield. The fact that workers in Muong Nhe won first prize for the first time at the 2024 Golden Hands for Refining Rubber latex competition of the group will give all workers more confidence. Thereby contributing to increasing the income of the unit, while also gradually increasing the income, improving the lives of all officers and employees in the company.
Muong Nhe Rubber Joint Stock Company currently has more than 250 officers and employees, of which nearly 97% are ethnic minorities. These workers have been attached to the company since the early days of the park. In recent years, the company has always focused on improving the lives and ensuring full policies for employees. Average income in 2024 will reach 6.1 million VND/person/month along with other support.
After more than 10 years of being root-rooted, the entire Muong Nhe district (old) now has more than 1,200 hectares of rubber trees and is exploiting latex. In 2023, the exploitation output reached more than 1,000 tons of latex; total revenue was more than 28 billion VND. In 2024, the company's revenue is estimated to reach VND 38 billion, equivalent to 121.5% of the plan. In particular, pre-tax profit reached VND4 billion, far exceeding the initial target, reaching 523% of the assigned plan.
