The fourth Conference, XIV term of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour was held in Can Tho City on September 17, under the chairmanship of Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan.
Attending the conference were Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City; Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Speaking at the opening, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan requested to soon concretize the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the results of 2027 are extremely important in the success of the Resolution.
In particular, the work of caring for Tet Nguyen Dan Dinh Mui 2027 for union members and workers must be carried out thoughtfully with a spirit of warmth, safety and thrift, avoiding formalism.
The goal is to take good care of the lives of workers and laborers, and at the same time implement practical solutions to ensure that the rate of workers returning to work after the Tet holiday reaches the highest level.
According to Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, the fact that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor chose Can Tho City to organize the Conference shows concern, affection and responsibility for the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities of Can Tho in particular, and the Mekong Delta region in general.
This is also an opportunity for Can Tho City to listen to new orientations, exchange experiences and strengthen coordination in building the working class, caring for workers, building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations, thereby making practical contributions to the development of the city and the region in the new period.
At the conference, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu presented many important contents including: Plan to care for Tet for workers and key activities in 2027; Project to innovate propaganda and dissemination of laws to workers, civil servants, and laborers in the new situation; Project to improve the effectiveness of dialogue, collective bargaining and labor relations in the period 2026 - 2031; Plan to care for, protect, and improve the health of union members and workers;...
In addition, there is a group of socio-economic development programs and projects including: Program on improving labor productivity, implementing the goal of double-digit growth; Project on Trade Union participation in developing new production forces, promoting jobs and stable income for workers and Program to promote the application of science and technology, innovation for union members and workers in the period 2026 - 2031.
Also at the conference, members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor focused on discussing and contributing profound opinions to major orientations.
In the afternoon working session, the Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continued to present the draft contents.
In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the conference spent time listening to delegates' speeches and comments to comprehensively complete the presentations.
