In the period of 2023 - 2025, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, but with the efforts of union cadres, union members and employees, union activities continue to have important developments, especially the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees and employees.
Models of caring for union members and employees are of interest and implementation by trade unions at all levels. In particular, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has signed a cooperation agreement with units on welfare for union members. Trade unions at all levels have signed with 11 enterprises, with more than 39,000 members using products and services at preferential prices.
Activities to care for union members and employees during Tet are maintained annually by the Trade Union at all levels such as visiting and giving gifts to union members and employees in difficult circumstances; supporting, visiting and giving gifts to union members and employees who are unable to return home for Tet. Organize the annual "Union Tet Market" Program with many practical activities. The annual "Tet Sum Vay" program has 11,014 employees in difficult circumstances, receiving gifts with a total budget of over VND7.281 billion.
Organize activities to meet, encourage, and wish a happy New Year to union members and employees who do not return home for Tet, and pay salaries, bonuses, and other benefits to union members and employees. Some businesses support 13th month salary, giving Tet gifts to employees, an average of 500,000 VND/person.
The Trade Union Shelter Program has mobilized and contributed more than 12 billion VND, and has considered supporting the construction and repair of 292 houses with an amount of over 12.6 billion VND...
Many enterprises have trade unions supporting shift meals for employees, from 20,000 VND or more; the quality of shift meals has been improved; of which 113 enterprise trade unions have included in the collective labor agreement.
3 breakthroughs in the new situation
Ms. Huynh Ut Muoi - Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor - said that this congress will select 3 breakthrough stages: Promoting innovation, strongly applying digital transformation in trade union activities, especially in propaganda, gathering, and serving union members and workers.
Concentrate resources on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises and the informal labor sector. Promote dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene.
Ca Mau Trade Union proactively adapts flexibly to new conditions, accompanies businesses in recovering and developing production, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. At the same time, promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the management and operation of Trade Union activities, effectively promote creative, innovative and technical emulation movements, contributing to improving productivity and labor quality.
Target by the end of the 2025-2030 term: Develop an additional 7,500 union members. Enterprises and units with trade unions that are eligible to represent, negotiate, and sign Collective Labor Agreements according to the provisions of law, reaching 90%. Strive to have at least 75% of cases of union members and grassroots unions that need consultation and debate in court have union representatives participating or being supported by the union. Through emulation movements to strive for 4,500 initiatives of union members and workers to be applied in production, business and work. 50% of workers in enterprises achieve the title of "Studying Citizen" issued by competent authorities.
