Grassroots trade unions launch support
The grassroots trade union in collaboration with New wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. (Van Trung Industrial Park, Bac Ninh) has just organized a fundraising ceremony to support people severely affected by natural disasters and floods. This is one of the pioneering enterprises in Bac Ninh province to organize this meaningful activity.
At the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Chi - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union launched a call for voluntary support from all of the more than 30,000 employees working at the enterprise. The call emphasizes the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves": Everyone should share a part of their income to join hands to share difficulties, promptly support people in the province affected by storm No. 11.
Union members and workers donated through two forms: transferring or contributing directly at the reception points. The donation period lasts until October 16.
The entire amount of money collected will be compiled by the company's union. A part will be taken out to directly support union members and workers in the company affected; the rest will be transferred to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to carry out relief activities and support people in the province who suffered heavy losses from this historic storm.
The Commune and Ward Trade Unions in the province have also promptly had support activities. Mr. Ha Minh Vi - Chairman of the Nenh Ward Trade Union - shared that, implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, the Nenh Ward Trade Union has propagated and mobilized businesses and grassroots trade unions in the ward to support and assist people and workers affected by floods after storm No. 11.
As a result, 3 enterprises (Tinh Hoa Trading and Service Company Limited, Quoc Chi Trading and Transport Company Limited, Crystal Martin Vietnam Company Limited) have supported 670 gifts for people in Van Ha ward and Viet Yen ward to overcome difficulties. The main necessities include drinking water, dry food, instant noodles, bread, milk), the total support amount is about 105 million VND. Nenh Ward Union officials directly came down to present these gifts.
Mobilizing more resources from grassroots trade unions and enterprises
At the provincial level, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor has established a working group led by Mr. Thach Van Chung - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, directly visiting, encouraging and delivering emergency relief gifts to the people of Tam Giang commune, the locality that was heavily affected by the flood. The working group presented hundreds of gifts including essential necessities such as instant noodles, drinking water, dry food, milk and many other essential items to households in the two villages.
Previously, the Provincial Federation of Labor established 2 working groups to directly present gifts to support people in severely damaged areas in Yen The and Xuan Luong communes.
Here, the delegation presented 890 boxes of filtered water, 1,023 boxes of instant noodles, and 39 boxes of dry food, which are essential necessities, contributing to helping people overcome the current difficult period. The above goods and necessities were mobilized from affiliated grassroots unions.
Mr. Thach Van Chung shared that the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to closely monitor the situation, mobilize more resources from grassroots unions and enterprises to promptly support people in Tam Giang and other affected areas to overcome the consequences of floods, especially supporting house repairs and production recovery after the water recedes.
